A LITTLE PRIVACY, EXPLAINED

Let your photo say less.

What this does

The tool decodes the first image frame and draws its visible pixels onto a canvas, then saves a new PNG. It verifies that the output contains only PNG image chunks and safe color/display chunks. It does not copy source EXIF, GPS, text comments or provenance blocks.

What this doesn’t do

Re-encoding can change colors, orientation handling, file size and quality. Animation, HDR and embedded provenance will not be preserved. This is not a forensic eraser, and it does not redact faces, text or recognizable locations visible in the picture. Keep your original. Images over 30 megapixels are rejected to protect browser memory.

The illustrative photograph on the homepage is a generated CSS landscape, not your uploaded image. No photos are stored by this site.
