Start with your saved collection
In Veil’s current preview, expiration or a refunded purchase does not delete saved files. You can still open and export them, and recovery and encrypted-backup restoration are not blocked by the Free allowance. This behavior belongs to Veil; do not assume every vault app follows the same policy.
New additions follow Free limits
Free can create up to three spaces on a device. Each space can accept up to 100 photos and 10 videos, with no item-count limit for documents and notes. Storage and file-size limits still apply. If a space already has 180 photos, those remain accessible, but adding another photo is blocked.
Check the plan before buying again
Open Plan & usage to see the current entitlement and the unlocked space’s counts. A failed product load is not proof that a verified purchase has expired. Check for a purchase awaiting approval, or use Restore purchases with the purchasing Apple Account before assuming a new payment is required.
Cancellation and lifetime can coexist
Use Apple’s subscription settings to check cancellation and renewal. In Veil, a verified lifetime entitlement can keep Plus active after a subscription ends. Buying lifetime does not cancel an existing subscription, and refunding one purchase does not necessarily remove a different active entitlement.
Make a copy before reorganizing
Export an encrypted backup and retain its matching code before removing files to make room for new ones. A plain exported photo or document is outside the vault’s encryption once another app receives it. Keep the original until you have checked the copy and chosen its destination deliberately.
When access still looks wrong
Keep your files in place and contact support with the plan shown and the error message, without private files or recovery codes. Restore purchases concerns paid features, not missing content. These scenarios have local test coverage; real Apple sandbox and release validation remain pending for the development preview.
